Nicole Figueredo, MD
Dr. Nicole Figueredo is a board-certified and fellowship-trained breast surgeon with 15 years of experience providing surgical care for patients with malignant and non-malignant breast diseases. She is proud to offer her expertise to patients in the Tampa metro area and beyond, and has direct access to the operating facilities of both Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel and Florida Hospital Carrollwood.
Dr. Figueredo joined Florida Hospital Physician Group from Voorhees, New Jersey, where she was affiliated with Summit Surgical Center and Virtua Health for multiple years. Prior to that time, she was a Teaching Fellow at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University – considered one of the most prestigious programs of its kind. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and she has previously served on the medical advisory board for the Philadelphia affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Raj Ambay, MD, FACS
Dr. Ambay is truly an expert in the field of breast cancer. As an award winning breast cancer researcher, funded through the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Dr. Ambay helped to develop and test novel drugs that detect breast cancer early. In 2014, Dr. Ambay was honored to receive the President’s Award at the national meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. This award is given for outstanding contributions to the specialty of plastic surgery. He has also been recognized as “Top Doc”, and “Compassionate Doctor” by health websites, consumer groups and local and national publications. He has been featured numerous times on Fox News, ABC Action news, and honored at the Tampa Bay Lighting Hockey game.
Dr. Ambay received training in general surgery from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and completed his residency in plastic surgery at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He has also completed a National Institute of Health research fellowship, a second fellowship in microvascular surgery at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
As a Colonel in the United States Army Reserve, Dr. Ambay has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and has served as the chief surgeon for a forward surgical team supporting special operation forces. Dr. Ambay has been awarded numerous military medals and commendations including the coveted Combat Action Badge for performing surgery while under enemy fire. He continues to donate his surgical expertise to help wounded warriors regain control after sustaining injuries in combat.
Stefano Fusi, MD, MBA, FACS
Stefano Fusi, MD, MBA, FACS is double board certified in plastic surgery and in general surgery. In addition to Florida, Dr. Fusi maintains a private practice in New Haven Connecticut, Houston Texas and travels to Europe many times a year to perform highly specialized, complex microsurgery. Since 2001, Dr. Fusi serves as the Associate Chief of Plastic Surgery at Yale University New Haven Hospital. He has extensive experience in complex Breast Reconstruction, Microsurgery, Head and Neck reconstruction, Craniofacial Surgery and Lymphedema. He has been received the Top Doctor award in Connecticut more than 5 times and has taught senior level plastic surgery residents for more than 25 years.
Dr. Fusi moved to the United States in 1981 where he first completed his residency in General Surgery in Pittsburgh. After becoming board certified in general surgery, he went on to complete his fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Yale University. While at Yale, he received numerous accolades, published many articles, and was quickly known as a rising star.
In addition to teaching microsurgery to thousands of residents, Dr. Fusi has published and presented more than 42 papers at national plastic surgery meetings. Dr. Fusi is a respected member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, cleft palate and hand societies at both the national and regional level.
